Aftercare

Lip Blush aftercare

Use the balm, cleaning method and timing supplied for your appointment. Lip products and cold-sore history need particular care.

Clean hands and gentle care

Wash and dry your hands before contact. Blot fluid gently only as directed and apply the recommended single-client balm with a clean applicator. Do not rub, bite, lick, pick or peel.

Keep products away

Keep lipstick, gloss, fragranced products and unapproved skincare off the treated area until the surface is intact and comfortable. Do not share lip products, towels or cups.

Avoid irritation

Avoid swimming, saunas, jacuzzis, heavy sweating, sunbeds and direct sun until fully healed. Choose food and drink that does not sting; stop if acidic, salty or spicy items cause discomfort.

Cold-sore history

Tell the studio before treatment if you have ever had a cold sore and ask your GP or prescribing clinician whether preventative treatment is appropriate. Postpone if tingling, burning, itching or an active blister develops.

Open guidance
Once fully healed

Use an appropriate lip sunscreen outdoors. Delay peels, laser and injectable treatments around the mouth until the practitioner confirms it is appropriate.

Get medical advice

Seek advice if heat, pain, swelling, spreading redness or discharge is increasing. Call 999 for sudden mouth, tongue or throat swelling, breathing difficulty, faintness or confusion.
