Temporary definition without SPMU

Brow Tint colours natural hairs, Brow Wax refines the shape, and Hybrid Stain & Wax combines shaping with a temporary stain effect.

The studio confirms the shade, outline, product system and any advance testing requirement for the service you choose.

Treatment details

Choose the finish you want

  • 01

    Brow Tint

Adds temporary colour to natural brow hairs so lighter hairs and the existing shape appear clearer.

  • 02

    Brow Wax

Refines the outline by removing unwanted hair around the agreed shape.

  • 03

    Hybrid Stain & Wax

Combines shaping with a temporary stain effect. The visible result varies with skin, hair and aftercare.

  • 04

    Not SPMU

These services work on the hairs or skin surface; Microblading and Combination Brows are separate longer-lasting pigment treatments.

Process

Agree the shape, shade and product system

  1. 01

    Choose the service

Decide whether you want colour, shaping, or both.

  2. 02

    Check suitability

Discuss previous reactions and complete any product-specific advance test required.

  3. 03

    Agree shape and shade

Review the outline and colour direction before treatment begins.

  4. 04

    Follow exact aftercare

Use the water, heat, cleansing and skincare guidance supplied for the products used.

Aftercare

Brow treatment aftercare

Tint, hybrid stain and waxing products do not share one universal routine. Follow the product-specific water, cleansing, heat and skincare guidance supplied for your appointment.

Follow the treatment-specific timing

Use the exact first-wash, water, steam, makeup and skincare instructions supplied. Conventional tint, hybrid stain and freshly waxed skin have different needs.

Clean gently

Once the studio says cleansing is suitable, use a gentle cleanser and pat rather than rub the brows dry. Do not scrub, scratch or use an exfoliating brush over the area.

Keep strong skincare away

Keep retinoids, exfoliating acids, peels and other strong active products off the brow area for the period stated by the studio, especially if the skin feels sensitive.

Protect colour and freshly waxed skin

Tint and hybrid stain are temporary and will fade. Clean gently, and avoid friction, strong actives, heat and products the studio tells you to keep away from newly waxed skin.

Patch testing and reaction history

Complete any advance test required for the tint or stain system. Tell the studio about previous hair-dye, PPD, black-henna, wax or skincare reactions; allergies can develop after earlier trouble-free treatments.

Reaction warning signs

Get advice for burning, stinging, an itchy rash, tight or sore skin, blisters or increasing swelling. Call 999 for sudden swelling of the lips, mouth, throat or tongue, breathing difficulty, faintness or confusion.

Common questions.

If your question is not here, send it before booking.Ask a question
How much are the brow treatments?

Brow Tint is £20, Brow Wax is £15, and Hybrid Stain & Wax is £30.

Are these treatments the same as SPMU?

No. Tint, stain and wax are temporary surface or hair treatments; SPMU places pigment beneath the skin for a longer-lasting result.

Is a patch test required?

Follow the advance testing requirement for the exact tint or stain system selected by the studio. Tell the studio about previous dye, henna, wax or skincare reactions.
